Something just didn’t sit right with this painting… After some time, inspiration struck and now I am very happy with the result! This is the finished version of my newest painting Mystical Bread of Life. It has been quite the journey to make this piece but I’m excited to finally share it with you.

This painting is made using oil paint on stretched canvas and incorporates the reclaimed earth pigments made from pollution pulled from Ohio waterways: Rust Red, Iron Violet, and Brown Ochre (all wonderfully earthy pigments). These are mixed throughout various layers of the painting.

This piece is 16x20 inches and $640. It will be available at the Wyoming Art Show on May 17th with the rest of the collection. I’m going to be submitting it for the indoor competition in the Civic Center, so it won’t be at my booth but still for sale! I’ll be sending out more details about the show closer to the date.
